Vivāha Muhūrta
The wedding date, elected from both kundalis at the place it will happen — every rule shown, every source named.
What the election checks
An astrologer does not pick a wedding date from a list. They sit with both charts, the venue and the season, and walk the days sunrise to sunrise. This is that walk, in the same order and from the same books.
The six vivāha months by the Sun's sign; Chāturmāsya, the adhika month, Pitṛ Pakṣa, Kharmas and Holāṣṭaka set aside — with their edges to the minute, not the day.
No wedding while Jupiter or Venus is combust — judged by whether the planet can actually be seen at the venue, the way the almanacs judge it, not by a fixed degree.
The sūtaka of a lunar or solar eclipse, only where that eclipse is visible — nine hours and twelve hours respectively.
The eleven vivāha nakṣatras, the gaṇḍānta padas, the tithi, the vāra, the yoga's forbidden ghaṭīs, the four forbidden karaṇas, the muhūrta yogas.
Tārā bala and candra bala for the bride and the groom separately; the eighth house from each Moon; the elders' rule when either is the eldest child.
Each rising sign at the venue weighed hour by hour: the seventh house empty, the benefics placed, the lagna lord not fallen; lattā, yuti, jāmitra and krānti-sāmya doṣas; the kāla windows.
Vivah muhurat dates for 2026 and 2027
The calendar's own windows for New Delhi — the days and hours when the solar month, the pañcāṅga, the visibility of Jupiter and Venus and the eclipses all allow a wedding. These are the dates everyone shares; which of them is yours depends on the two charts and the venue, which the finder above weighs.

Windows are given start → end in Indian Standard Time; a window that crosses midnight is shown with both dates. Lists for other cities shift with sunrise and the Moon; the finder computes them for your venue.
Then, the sitting
Vedha, ekārgala, bāṇa, kuṇā, the family's own customs — these are checked by a person, not an engine. In Grahrishi a senior Jyotishi sits with both kundalis for forty-five minutes, weighs the windows the finder found, and seals the muhūrta with you. You leave with a written report both families can read, and a date you can defend.
Save your muhūrta and book the sitting →
Common questions
How is this different from a list of dates?
A published list is one city's calendar: the days when the pañcāṅga is clean for everyone. A muhūrta is elected for two people at one place — their Moons, their lagnas, the rising sign at the hour. The lists below are the calendar; the finder above is the election.
Why do you need the time of birth for both?
The strongest checks rest on the lagna and the Moon of each chart. A chart anchored to noon would silently pass a wrong Moon, so we ask for the time rather than guess it.
Which sources does it follow?
Muhūrta Chintāmaṇi (Vivāha-prakaraṇa), Dharmasindhu and Bṛhat Saṁhitā, computed from true astronomical positions with the Lahiri ayanāṁśa. The 2026 and 2027 lists were checked window by window against Drik Panchang's published dates.
Is the result final?
No. The engine never computes vedha, ekārgala, bāṇa or kuṇā, and it does not know your family's customs. A Jyotishi sits with both kundalis for forty-five minutes and seals the muhūrta. That sitting is what Grahrishi sells; the finder is free.
Do you keep the birth details?
No. Both charts are computed for this result and dropped. Nothing is stored unless you save the muhūrta in a free Grahrishi account.
